Atlantic Highlands blackfishing November 22

Made our 7:30 am black fishing trip from the Atlantic Highlands marina today and it was a better day. The action was not fast but there was enough to keep everyone busy. It was not an aggressive bite but the guys were patient. We would catch a few shorts and a couple of keepers and maybe wait for some more. There was only one limit and others had up to five keepers. AT the end of the trip everyone went home with dinner. There were to giants but there were a couple in the 6 to 7lb range. There are some new pictures in the gallery so take a look. As of now the weather for tomorrow looks good but Monday does not. We are sailing at 7:30 am and returning between 2:30 and 3pm everyday (weather permitting). Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands blackfishing November 21

Made our 7:30 am blackfishing trip today from the Atlantic Highlands today. It was the first day back out since Sunday due to the weather. It was not an overly nice day today with the wind and cold but it was fishable. The bite was not as good as we would have liked but we picked at the blackfish. The size was mixed but by the end of the day just about everyone went home with a keeper for dinner. It's supposed to warm up for the weekend so come and join us for a day of blackfishing. We have green crabs and white crabs on board. Sailing at 7:30 am and returning between 2:30 and 3pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands blackfishing November 17

We did not make our 7:30 am blackfish trip today. We will not be sailing the next few days due to the forecast  for strong winds. Hopefully the winds will subside and we came get back to fishing by Thursday. Unless the forecast changes that looks like our next chance. We will have to wait and see. WE are looking forward to seeing everyone when we get back on our schedule of sailing at 7:30 am and returning between 2:30 and 3pm.

Atlantic Highlands blackfishing November 16

Made our 7:30 am blackfish trip from the Atlantic Highlands marina today. We were not happy with the blackfishing today. We made quite a few drops in different areas and only caught a few on each spot. The fish were of mixed sizes but not enough. Ben was the only exception, he was able to catch his limit. Other than that it was not a good day. The weather the next few days does not sound good. Hopefully after this weather goes by the fishing will improve. We did manage a few sea bass (all on crab bait). We did not see any porgies. We are not using any clam bait cause it attracts the dogfish. Weather permitting we are sailing everyday leaving at 7:30 am and returning between 2:30 and 3pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands blackfishing November 15

Made our 7:30 am trip today from the Atlantic Highlands marina today. We fished a few spots today and found blackfish on all of them (some better then others). We only had a few keeper sea bass and porgy and a few short sea bass. With the one blackfish limit today everyone went home with a keeper and released the rest. Tomorrow the bag limit goes up to 6 blackfish and the size is 15 inches. So starting tomorrow we will make the blackfish our target. We will supply green crabs and white crabs will be available. So come on and join us for some fun fishing. We have plenty of heat in the cabin to warm up if you get cold. We are sailing everyday making one trip leaving at 7:30 am and returning between 2:30 and 3pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
