Fishing Reports

Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing August 5

Well everything is still the same. We are making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm) everyday. I always mentions that the conditions make the difference in the fishing. The past few days proved it. When the drifting conditions were good we had better action with shorts and keepers. Some trips were not as good as others. We never know what they will be due to the weather but we try our best to work around them. There are some new pictures in the gallery so take a look Looking forward to seeing everyone

The last few days has been pretty much the same. We are seeing more keepers when the conditions are good. The people with the baits are doing as good as those with the spros and sometimes better. The drift is sometimes fast so the heavy weights are needed. We have some new pictures in the gallery so take a look. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

We have seen an improvement in the fishing the past four days. The action is better and we have seen an improvement in keepers. When the conditions are good  the morning trip (8am to 12:30) or the afternoon trip (1:30 to 6pm) have been the same. There are some nicer size keepers being caught. We did have a problem with the cownose rays a few times but the crew did a great job helping the people with them. We have been mostly fishing in the shallow water but the drift is sometimes fast so you might need to use heavy weights. There are some new pictures in the gallery so take a look. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

We have not missed a trip (making both trips every day 8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm) since the last report. Some trips only had a few people but we still went. The fishing the last two days has shown an improvement on both the morning and afternoon trips. The short action is good and we seen more keepers. Today was one of our better days (both trips) for keepers. We have not beat the 9 1/2 lber from last week but we have had some nice size fluke. Hopefully this fishing will continue. There are some new pictures in the gallery so take o look. Come on down and catch some these nice fluke for dinner. Looking forward to seeing eveyone

The fishing is still the same with mostly shorts and some keepers. But today we had our biggest fluke of the season so far. Scott Smith  from Freehold N.J. landed a 9 1/2 lb fluke on the afternoon trip today. He also had a 3 1/2 lber. You can see his fish in the gallery and in the notable catches on the home page. So come down and see if you can beat his. Looking forward to seeing you. We have been making both trips ( 8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm) everyday.
