Fishing Reports

Atlantic Highlands bottom fishing October 19

Due to the high winds we only made the morning trip from the Atlantic Highlands marina today. Even due to the weather we were able to put a catch together. Today it was mostly sea bass with a few blackfish for those who tried for them. Tomorrow the winds are supposed to subside and it should be a nice day. Don't forget tomorrow starts our 3/4 day schedule. WILL BE MAKING ONE TRIP ONLY EVERYDAY LEAVING AT 7:30 AM AND RETURNING BETWEEN 2:30 AND 3 PM. There are some new pictures in the gallery so take a look. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Tomorrow ( Sunday ) will be the last day for two trips. Starting Monday we will be sailing everyday making one trip only (7:30 am to 2:30 pm). There are some new pictures in the gallery so take a look. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands porgy fishing October 10

Finally a nice day with no wind. Made both morning and afternoon trips from the Atlantic Highlands marina today. We still had the strong current and needed heavy sinkers but had better fishing. There was a mix of some real nice size porgies and some little ones. It was not great fishing but everyone went home with dinner. We had to throw back some nice size seabass  due to the season closure (it opens on October 18). There are some new pictures in the gallery. We are sailing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Made both morning and afternoon trips today from the Atlantic Highlands marina. Heavy sinkers were needed due to the strong current. WE were able to catch a few fish on each drop. There was a pick of mixed size porgies and seabass that had to be thrown back (closed season till 10/18). Today the morning was a bit better than the afternoon trip. We are sailing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands porgy fishing October 3

Made both morning and afternoon trips from the Atlantic Highlands marina today. There was a large ground swell stirring up the ocean due to the easterly weather the past few days. The fishing was pretty tough. We picked a few mixed sized porgies on most drops and threw back some seabas (season opens October 18). Hopefully the weather gets better and ocean can settle down so the fishing can improve. We are sailing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone.
