Fishing Reports

Atlantic Highlands seabass porgy &blackfish October 27

Made our 3/4 day fishing trip from the Atlantic Highlands marina today and it was a nice day on the ocean. Again today we made a  few drops and caught fish all of them. Some were better then others. The porgies were mixed in size from small to really nice size. There was not as many seabass caught as yesterday but we ended up with a few. There was a better blackfish bite ( most of those who fished for them had their one fish limit). By the end of the trip I think everyone went home with dinner. There are some new pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. The weather does not look good for the next few days. It is supposed to blow hard our of the east tomorrow then from the south ( gust up to 35) . It is supposed to blow hard from the southwest and west on Thursday and maybe Friday (gusts to 25-30). We will have to watch the weather but if this is how it's going to be we will not be fishing till Saturday when the wind lets up. When things settle down we will be back on our schedule ( 7:30 am to 2:30 -3pm) everyday. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands seabass porgy & blackfish October 26

Made our 7:30 am to 2:30/3pm bottom fishing trip from the Atlantic Highlands marina today. The weather was great and the ocean was much calmer then it was the past two days. We made a few drops and caught fish on all of them. We caught some real big porgies and some nice size seabass. It was not fast fishing but it was a good enough pick for everyone to go home with fish. The weather and the fishing made for a very enjoyable day. There are some new pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. The weather for tomorrow looks good so come and make a trip because the weather for Wednesday looks like a blow out with rain and wind. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands seabass porgy & blackfish October 24

Made our 3/4 day fishing trips( 7:30 am to 2:30 -3pm) from the Atlantic Highlands marina the past few days. Some days we have to make quite a few drops but we usually catch fish on all of them but some are better then others. The seabass are mixed sizes of shorts and keepers. Most of the porgies are big with only a few shorts.  The blackfish are also a mix. Today we managed a keeper size cod and a nice size winter flounder. There are some new pictures in the gallery so take a look. We are sailing everyday (weather permitting) making one trip leaving at 7:30 am and returning between 2:30 and 3pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands seabass porgy & blackfishing October 22

Made our 3/4 day fishing trip today from the Atlantic highlands marina. We made quite a few stops and found fish on all of them. Some spots were better then others but all had had porgies seabass and some blackfish. The porgies and seabass made up most of the catch. The porgies were mostly real nice size with only a few throw backs. There were more short seabass then keepers but there were some nice size ones caught. There were a few blackfish caught by the people that brought their own crabs. All in all it was a pretty good day. There are some new pictures in the gallery so take a look. We are sailing everyday making one trip only (7;30 am and returning between 2:30 and 3pm). Come and join us for a trip and have some fun. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands fishing October 18

We made our morning trip today from the Atlantic Highlands marina but we did not sail on the afternoon trip. Today was the last day of making two trips. There are some new pictures in the gallery from todays trip so take a look. The ride to the fishing grounds is longer so in order to have more fishing time we will be sailing 3/4 day (making one trip only leaving at 7:30 and returning between 2:30 / 3pm). We will still be bottom fishing for porgies and blackfish. Looking forward to seeing everyone on our new schedule.
