Fishing Reports

Atlantic Highlands porgy &seabass October 1

We have been making both morning and afternoon trips (8am to 12:30 &1:30 to 6pm) everyday. The fishing has been good with some nice porgies but only a few keeper seabass . Today the morning trip was not as good as previous days but the afternoon trip was good again. We had a real strong current and needed 8 & 10 oz sinkers. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

The porgy fishing continues to be real good. The action has been the same on both the morning and afternoon trips. Most of them are keepers with some shorts. We were allowed to keep seabass today with a lot of them caught but more shorts than keepers. But between the two everyone is going home with a nice catch for dinner and then some for the freezer. We have been using #4 hooks and small baits with great results. Sometimes the current is strong so you might want to bring a light and heavy rod (might need to use 8 oz weights). The crew has been doing a good job filleting or gutting them. Keep checking the gallery for new pictures. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Today was our first day fishing for porgies and everybody had a good day. The size was mixed with more keepers than shorts. Everybody had fish to take home for dinner. We are still making two trips everyday (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm) and both trips were good. Sometimes the current is strong so if you can bring two poles (one light and one heavy). So come on and get in on this good fishing. I will be putting some new pictures in the gallery so keep checking it out. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

The schedule will be the same (2 half day trips 8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm) everyday. The fishing is fun and they taste good. The crew can do a good job filleting them for you. Looking forward to seeing everyone. There are some new fluke pictures in the gallery.

We are still making two trips everyday (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). The fishing has not been as good as we would like but we are catching some nice size fluke everyday. Some trips are seeing better results than others. The pool fish have been in the 5lb or better on some days. Hopefully we can get some nice days with good conditions to finish out the season. There are some new pictures in the gallery and the will some more coming so take a look. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
