Fishing Reports

Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing June 21

I would like start by wishing all the fathers that read this report a happy Fathers Day. Even with the lousy weather and or forecast we have been making both morning and afternoon trips the past few days. Yesterday the weather was supposed to be ok but it was pretty crummy. Today was supposed to be raining but was a nice warm day with a nice breeze and good drifting conditions. We are still fishing fishing in Sandy Hook bay. The fishing action has been the same with most of the fish being shorts but there are some nice size fluke being caught. You can see some of these fish in the gallery so take a look. We are sailing everyday making two trips everyday at 8am to 12:30 and again 1:30 to 6pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Made both morning and afternoon trips from the Atlantic highlands marina today. The drifting conditions on the morning trip were not good today. When we had a drift we managed to pick some fish but mostly shorts. On the afternoon trip  conditions were not much better but we managed a few more keepers. Kevin Kelly had the hot hand and managed three keepers and the pool on the afternoon trip. WE are still fishing in Sandy Hook bay. There are some pictures in the gallery so take a look. We are sailing everyday making two trips 8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm. The forecast for Sunday (fathers day) is for rain showers but we'll see what happens. Rain or shine we will be sailing making both morning and afternoon trips. If we don't see you have a happy Fathers Day. As always we are looking forward to seeing everyone.

Not a great weather forecast but we made both morning and afternoon trips today from the Atlantic Highlands marina. On the morning trip the fishing was very good with plenty of shorts and a few keepers. Everybody caught fish but we would liked to see more keepers. On the afternoon trip the action was not as good but again everyone caught fish. We did manage a more keepers then in the morning. There were some rain showers but not enough to stop the people from fishing. There are some new pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. We have still been fishing in Sandy Hook bay. The weatherman scared away most of the people today but we were able to make both morning and afternoon trips. The weather on the morning trip was great. We picked fish on all drifts. Most of the fish were shorts but we managed a few keepers. On the afternoon trip the weather was good till the end of the trip but everyone stayed at the rail and fished. Everyone caught fish but not everyone caught keepers. We are sailing everyday making two trips 8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm. Don't let the weatherman stop you from fishing cause they can be wrong. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
