Fishing Reports

Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing June 10

Made both morning and afternoon trips again today. On the morning trip it was still a bit windy and we only could fish in one area of Sandy Hook bay due to the drifting conditions but we picked at the shorts and ended up with some keepers. On the afternoon trip the wind calmed down and we were able to fish out further in Raritan Bay. The drifting conditions were great. We had plenty of action with a mix of shorts and keepers. When the trip was over we ended up with the best catch of keepers so far this year. We had some limits and others with one to three while a few only caught shorts. This is why we never know which trip is going to be better. So come make a trip, have some fun and maybe it will be the good trip. You never know you might get your picture in the gallery. There are some new pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. We are fishing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Made both morning and afternoon trips today. We had strong winds (25 to 30 knots) that made for a fast drift. Even with the tough conditions we were able to pick at the shorts but only a few keepers on each trip. There are some new pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. Made both morning and afternoon trips again today. The morning trip started out slow with no drift but when the drift picked up we began to pick. The afternoon trip was just the opposite. The drift was good when we first started fishing and we were picking away at shorts and keepers. An hour or so into the trip the wind picked up with rain squalls and we could no longer hold the bottom. The weather settled down and we were able to catch a few more. Take a look at the gallery for some of todays catch. We are fishing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm) in Sandy Hook and Raritan bays. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
