Fishing Reports

Atlantic Highlands seabass porgy & blackfishing October 22

Made our 3/4 day fishing trip today from the Atlantic highlands marina. We made quite a few stops and found fish on all of them. Some spots were better then others but all had had porgies seabass and some blackfish. The porgies and seabass made up most of the catch. The porgies were mostly real nice size with only a few throw backs. There were more short seabass then keepers but there were some nice size ones caught. There were a few blackfish caught by the people that brought their own crabs. All in all it was a pretty good day. There are some new pictures in the gallery so take a look. We are sailing everyday making one trip only (7;30 am and returning between 2:30 and 3pm). Come and join us for a trip and have some fun. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands fishing October 18

We made our morning trip today from the Atlantic Highlands marina but we did not sail on the afternoon trip. Today was the last day of making two trips. There are some new pictures in the gallery from todays trip so take a look. The ride to the fishing grounds is longer so in order to have more fishing time we will be sailing 3/4 day (making one trip only leaving at 7:30 and returning between 2:30 / 3pm). We will still be bottom fishing for porgies and blackfish. Looking forward to seeing everyone on our new schedule.

Atlantic Highlands porgy fishing fishing October 15

We made both morning and afternoon trips the past two days from the Atlantic highlands marina. The bay has been producing some porgies first thing on the morning trip but it does not last as long as we would like. Then we have tried some spots in the ocean but we see only a few porgies and we throw back some seabass again. The afternoon trips have been less productive. Hopefully it will get better. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands porgy fishing October 12 & 13

Made both morning and afternoon trips yesterday from the Atlantic highlands marina. On both trips we caught a few porgies in the bay but not enough. We went out to the ocean and caught mostly seabass that had to be thrown back due to the closed season and only a few more porgies. Today we  stopped in the bay again and were able to pick at the porgies good enough to stay. We picked most of the morning and everyone caught enough porgies for dinner. Everyday is different so we never know what to expect. WE will see what tomorrow brings. There are some new pictures in the gallery so take a look. We are sailing everyday making two trips ( 8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic highlands bottom (porgy) fishing October 10

Made both morning and afternoon trips from the Atlantic highlands marina today. On the morning trip there was a bit of a roll from yesterdays weather. The fishing was not good. On the afternoon trip we had a porgy bite that lasted for about an hour then they quite biting. We tried some other spots and only had seabass ( that had to go back) and a pick at blackfish with a few keepers and mostly shorts. Yesterday the morning trip was better but today the afternoon trip was so you never know what trip will be better. We will just have to see what tomorrow brings. There are some new pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. WE sailing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). looking forward to seeing everyone.
