Fishing Reports

Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing August 23

We have sailed the past few days making both morning and afternoon trips From the Atlantic Highlands marina. We fished different areas  due to different wind conditions. Every place we fish the results are pretty much the same. We catch mostly shorts but manage a few keepers each trip. We have days where the action on morning trip is better and some days the afternoon trip is better. WE have not had any real big fish but we did catch a few nice enough for the gallery so take a look. WE are sailing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone.

We have made all  morning and afternoon trips the past few days from the Atlantic Highlands marina. The fishing has not been as good as we would like. We had some trips where the action has been ok with some keepers and some trips where the short action has even slower then we have seen. We have been lucky to miss the rain that was in the forecast. We did manage some nice size fish and you can see them in the gallery. AS usual we are sailing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone.

The past few days the fishing has been pretty  much the same. WE have been making both morning and afternoon trips from the Atlantic Highlands marina. Everyone has been catching fish. The better the drifting conditions are the better the action.  Most of the fish are still shorts  but there are some nice size fluke being caught. Even though most of the fish are short people are having fun catching. The best of the action has been in Sandy Hook and Raritan bays and also in the Flynn's Knoll area. The weather on the water has been much cooler than on land and most of the rain showers have gone to the north of us. Super Dave had two nice days catching some big fluke ( I think those are his lucky pants). You can see his picture in the gallery with other people holding some nice fish. WE are sailing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Come and have some fun. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

We have been making every trip the past few days from the Atlantic Highlands marina.  The conditions have varied from trip to trip. When the drifting conditions are good the action is better. Most of the fish are still shorts but we manage some keepers each trip. There is no way to tell if the morning or afternoon trip will be better. WE are still finding the fluke in Sandy Hook and Raritan bays so the ocean forecast does not effect us. There are some new pictures in the gallery so take a look. We are sailing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Some of the people are scared by the heat advisories. If there is a breeze in the forecast most of the time it is cooler on the water. So come have some fun on the water. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

WE made both morning and afternoon trips from the Atlantic Highlands marina today. The short action has been good and everyone is catching fish with a few keepers being caught each trip but we have not had any big fluke the past few days. We are still finding the fish in Sandy Hook and Raritan Bays. All we can do is keep on fishing and hope for an improvement in keepers. WE have had some beginners the past few days catching their first fluke and even though they were shorts everyone had fun. There are some new pictures in the gallery so take a look. We are sailing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). So come and make a trip by yourself or with friends and family and have some fun. If your a beginner or an avid fishermen the crew will do their best to help you. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
