Fishing Reports

Atlantic Highlands strip bass fishing April 19

Made both morning and afternoon trips from the Atlantic Highlands marina today. the morning trip was not good with quite a few misses but only one keeper and one short. The afternoon trip turned out to be much better. We had our first fish shortly after anchoring up and it was a keeper. We stayed on the one spot all afternoon and had a pick of shorts and keepers. Not fast  but enough to stay with. When it was time to go home we ended up with 9 keepers and about 15 shorts. Hopefully this is the beginning of some good strip bass fishing. Tomorrow the weather will not be good with rain and wind so we will not be fishing. When the weather gets better we will be back on our daily schedule making two trips everyday (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). There are some new pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands Striped Bass fishing April 18

Made both morning and afternoon trips from the Atlantic highlands marina today. It was not a great day fishing but we managed to catch a couple of keepers on the afternoon trip. There is plenty of bait showing up in the bay and the fishing should improve. We are sailing everyday (weather permitting) making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). There are a few pictures from today in the gallery so take a look. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Thank You

Our 2014 fishing season is over and I would like to thank everyone who fished with us this year. Have a safe and healthy winter and I hope to see everyone in the spring.

Atlantic Highlands blackfishing January 3

We made our 7:30 am blackfishing trip from the Atlantic Highlands marina today. The forecast was for the wind to pick up in the afternoon but it came early. The ride to the fishing grounds was a bit rough. Then it started to rain. The fishing was not good with a pick of mostly shorts. All in all it was a real miserable day. We had planned on making our last trip of the season tomorrow but today was it. The forecast for tomorrow is for gale force winds and rough seas. I would like to thank everyone for fishing with us. Have a safe and healthy winter. Looking forward to seeing everyone in the spring. There is a new picture in the gallery from yesterday.

Atlantic Highlands blackfishibg January 2

I hope everyone had a safe and happy New Years day. The weather man scared us all with forecast for yesterday. I don't think the wind was as bad as they predicted. Well we did make our 7:30 am trip from the Atlantic Highlands marina today. We fished two different spots and found blackfish on both of them. Most if the blackfish were shorts but we had  some keepers mixed in. We did manage two limits ( only four blackfish now) and a some people had from one to three Keepers and some caught only shorts. There was enough action to keep everyone busy. The weather for tomorrow looks ok with the wind picking up in the afternoon with a chance of rain late in the day. I am not too sure about the weather for Sunday so we will have to wait and see. Sailing at 7:30 am and returning between 2:30 and 3pm. I hope to have some pictures from today in the gallery. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
