Fishing Reports

Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing July 12

Made both morning and afternoon trips again today. On the morning trip we started with no drift. When we got the in coming tide we had a nice drift. Went up to the Reach channel and we picked at a mix of shorts with some keepers until the ship came in it shut the fish down. We went to an area out of the channel and had a pick again of mostly shorts with a few keepers. We did not have as many keepers as we would have liked but we had some nice ones. The big fluke of the morning was a 9lber caught by Craig Smith from Skilman N.J. On the afternoon trip the southeast breeze picked up and we could not hold bottom in the channel so we went into Sandy Hook bay. We had good action there with everyone catching fish but only a few keepers. There are some new pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. We are fluke fishing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Come make a trip and have some fun catching fluke. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing July 10 and 11

Made both morning and afternoon trips the past two days. The conditions yesterday were either not enough drift or too much. Today on the morning trip we fished the Reach channel and caught shorts with some keepers with very little drift. On the afternoon trip the drifting conditions improved and the fishing was much better. Everyone caught fish but not everyone caught keepers. We always tell everyone that we never know which trip will be better. There are some new pictures in the gallery so take a look. We are fluke fishing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Come make a trip and have some fun. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

It wasn't the nicest day for July but we made both morning and afternoon trips again today. With the southeast wind we were not able to fish the Reach channel. We spent both trips fishing in Sandy Hook bay where it was calm with a good drift. We had plenty of action with shorts and a few keepers. There are a few pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. We are fluke fishing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Made both morning and afternoon trips again today. Everything was pretty much the same as yesterday. Started out fishing in the Reach channel and had a pick of shorts with some keepers till a ship came and that took care of the pick. As we did yesterday went to other spots and caught a few more. The highlight of the morning trip was the 9 1/2 lb fluke caught by Randy Alexander ( it was one of three). The weatherman kept most of the people away but we made our afternoon trip ( it did not rain till we were on our way home). We had a southeast wind so we fished in Sandy Hook bay. We had a steady pick with mostly shorts and some keepers. Take a look at the gallery for a few pictures from today. We are fluke fishing everyday making two trips (8am to 12;30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Made both morning and afternoon trips again today. On the morning trip we started in the Reach channel. In the beginning the fishing was good with shorts and some keepers. Unfortunately a ship came up the channel and shut the fish down. We went to other areas and caught a few fish in each area. The weatherman kept most of the people away but we made the afternoon trip (we did get about 20 min of rain). We had a nice cool breeze a good drifting conditions in Sandy Hook bay. We had a steady pick with everyone catching shorts and some had keepers. There are some new pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. We are fluke fishing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone.
