Fishing Reports

Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing September 22

The northeast winds have kept us (and the rest of the fleet) tied to the dock the past few days. The wind is supposed to let up tomorrow so we will be sailing. WE have no idea how the fishing will be after the weather the past few days but will give it a try. There are some new pictures in the gallery from before the weather so take a look. WE will be sailing everyday (weather permitting) making two trips ( 8am to 12:30 and 1:30 TO 6pm). Hopefully the weather will get better so we can get back to fishing. Just keep and eye on the forecast and all we can do is rely on the weatherman. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

We have been making both morning and afternoon trips from the Atlantic Highlands marina the past few days. We have been fishing the channels and at times the drift can be fast. As long as the conditions allow we with be fishing in the channels so bring a light and a heavy rod. We have had some trips where the fishing has been ok and some trips are not as good. We never know what trip will be better. There are some new pictures in the gallery from the past two days so take a look. We are sailing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Made both morning and afternoon trips today from the Atlantic Highlands marina today and it was one of our better days. On the morning trips the conditions were perfect for fishing the channels. We had a good pick of both shorts and keepers. We ended the morning with one of the best number of keepers  for the season. On the afternoon trip the current was strong in the beginning  so we had to fish out of the channel to the current slowed down. When the drift slowed down we went back in the channel and picked again. As long as the drifting conditions allow us to fish the channels and they are biting we will fish there. It is a good idea to bring both a light and heavy fishing rod to be ready for the different drifting conditions. There are some new pictures in the gallery from the past few days so take a look. We are sailing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Take advantage of the nice weather and come make a trip. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

We have been sailing everyday making both morning and afternoon trips from the Atlantic highlands marina. Today the strong westerly winds made Sandy Hook bay rough so we fished on the ocean side of Sandy Hook. The water was calm and the drifting conditions were ok. We picked at the shorts on both trips but only managed a few keepers each trip. Where we fish depends on the wind and drifting conditions. We are sailing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Made both morning and afternoon trips from the Atlantic Highlands marina today. It was a little breezy on the morning trip but the drifting conditions were ok. The fishing was not great but better then earlier in the week. We had more action with the shorts and we ended the morning with a few keepers. On the afternoon trip the weather was great. The fishing was not as good as the morning trip but we still managed to pick at the shorts an had a few keepers. Our schedule is still the same, making two trips everyday (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). The weather is still nice so come make a trip and have some fun. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
