Fishing Reports

Atlantic Highlands Fluke fishing May 29

WE have been making both morning and afternoon trips everyday. The fishing has stayed the same with most of the fluke being shorts but there are a few keepers . As I posted before, the better the drifting conditions the better the action. Due to the cold water in the ocean we have been fishing in Sandy Hook Bay. There are some new pictures in the gallery. We are sailing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). All trips are sailing from the Atlantic Highlands marina. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

We have been sailing everyday making both morning and afternoon trips. The fishing has been pretty much the same as the last report. When the drifting conditions are favorable the action is ok with mostly shorts with some keepers. As you know every trip is different and we never know which one will be better. There are some nice size keeper fluke mixed in with shorts. Today Ben had a 7 3/4 lb fluke on the afternoon trip for the big of the day. There are some new pictures from the past few days in the gallery so take a look. We are sailing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone.

We have been making both morning and afternoon trips everyday from the Atlantic Highlands marina. We are catching mostly shorts but there are some keepers mixed in. The drifting conditions can make a difference in the fishing. today the afternoon was a bit better than the morning. Dave had a nice 5 1/2 lb fluke but was beat out by our biggest fluke of the season so far. It was a monster 14 lb fluke caught by Tony Piao. Everyday is different depending on the conditions.  We are sailing everyday making two trips 8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm. Hopefully the fluke fishing will improve as the water warms up. So come and have a nice day on the water and try for one of these big fluke. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

We have been sailing everyday making both morning and afternoon trips from the Atlantic highlands marina. The water is still a bit chilly but when the drifting conditions are good we pick at the shorts and an a few keepers. On the morning trip today we had our biggest fluke of the season so far (not counting the 9 1/2 pounder we threw back before the season). It weighed in at 7lb 9oz. Hopefully the fishing will improve as the water warms up. There are some new pictures in the gallery so take a look. We are sailing everyday making two trips 8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Made both morning and afternoon trips for fluke today from the Atlantic Highlands marina. On the morning (8am to 12:30) trip we had good drifting conditions. The water was a chilly 59 degrees but the action was pretty good with mostly shorts and some keepers. The afternoon (1:30 to 6pm) trip was not as good with a strong wind making for a fast drift. All in all the first fluke trip of the season was pretty good. There were no big fish but there are a few pictures from today in the gallery. We are sailing everyday ( including Memorial Day) making two trips 8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone and have a safe holiday weekend.
