Fishing Reports

Atlantic Highlands blackfishing January 5

Today was our last trip of the season and it was very not a good one. We fished a few spots and did not find much on any of them. The water was colder then it had been. Thanks for fishing with us and hope to see everyone in the spring.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE  Another nice day on the water today. Fished a few spots and caught fish on all but one of them. Most of the action was the shorts again but there were some keepers mixed in. Two people had limits and most of the people had from one to three keepers. Ben had the biggest of the day ( 9 1/2 lbs) and J D was not far behind ( 8 3/4 lbs). I will put them in gallery as soon as the 2014 folder is made. We will not fish Thursday and Friday due to coming storm. Hopefully the weather will straighten out for Saturday and Sunday. Sunday January 5 will be our last trip. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

It was a bit cold but still a nice day for fishing. There was hardly any wind and calm. The action was better than yesterday. The shorts outnumbered the keepers but everyone was busy catching. There were no limits but everyone had from one to four keepers. We will fish tomorrow (New Years day) regular time leaving at 7:30 am returning between 2:30 and 3:00 pm. It looks like Thursday and Friday will be a no go due to the weather. Hopefully it will be ok for Saturday and Sunday. Sunday January 5 will be out last trip for the season. There is plenty of heat in the cabin and we have green and white crabs on board. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Not a lot of people showed up at the Atlantic Highlands marina today. There was only enough for one boat to get out and we were it. The action was not as good as the past few trips. The shorts still outnumbered the keepers. There were no limits but one person had five keepers. Some of the others had from one to three keepers and some had no keepers. The weather looks ok for tomorrow and New Years day. (we will fish on New years day). Sunday January 5 will be our last trip for this season. So come and make a trip with before it's over. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
