Atlantic Highlands stripe bass fishing April 25

Made both morning and afternoon trips from the Atlantic Highlands marina today. The afternoon trip was a bit better then the morning but neither was good. We were looking forward to a repeat of yesterday but it did not happen. Tomorrow is another day and hopefully it will get better. We did manage a few keepers and there are some new pictures in the gallery. We are sailing everyday making two trips 8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm (weather permitting). Tomorrow the weather looks good so come and join us. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Made the 1:30 afternoon trip today from the Atlantic Highlands marina. The weather was windy and cool but very fishable. We had a few bites but it took about 45 minutes to get our first fish. We stuck it out and picked at mix size stripe bass. By the end of the trip we had caught 13 keepers and released about 20 to 25 shorts. This was the best trip of the stripe bass season for us so far. Hopefully it will continue. We are sailing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). So come and make a trip and have some fun catching one of this nice bass. There are some new pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

The early morning rain kept the people away so we did not make the morning trip today. The weather cleared up and we were able to make our 1:30 pm trip from the Atlantic Highlands marina. We managed a pick of a mix of shorts and keepers. There is a new picture in the gallery from today so take a look. As of now the weather looks better for the 8am trip tomorrow. The forecast for the afternoon might be rain but we'll see. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands strip bass fishing April 19

Made both morning and afternoon trips from the Atlantic Highlands marina today. the morning trip was not good with quite a few misses but only one keeper and one short. The afternoon trip turned out to be much better. We had our first fish shortly after anchoring up and it was a keeper. We stayed on the one spot all afternoon and had a pick of shorts and keepers. Not fast  but enough to stay with. When it was time to go home we ended up with 9 keepers and about 15 shorts. Hopefully this is the beginning of some good strip bass fishing. Tomorrow the weather will not be good with rain and wind so we will not be fishing. When the weather gets better we will be back on our daily schedule making two trips everyday (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). There are some new pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
