Fishing Reports

Atlantic Highlands fishing November11

We did not make our 3/4 day fishing trip today. The weather in the morning was still windy and we told the people  the ocean might be nice due to yesterdays easterly weather and most decided to wait for another day. Tomorrow the wind is supposed to ok till late in the afternoon so we will be fishing tomorrow. As of now it is supposed to be windy again on Friday but we will have to see. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands seabass porgy&blackfish November 9

Made our 7:30 am 3/4 day fishing trip from the Atlantic highlands marina today and it was great day on the water. The weather was so nice that we were able to drift all day. We made short drifts over pieces of bottom and caught some real nice size keeper seabass. We also had some big porgies, a few keeper blackfish and 4 keeper codfish. There are some new pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. The weather for tomorrow is east and northeast wind with gusts to 30 and rain so we will not be sailing. Hopefully it will settle down for Wednesday. ( Wednesday is Veterans Day so remember your Veterans). WE are sailing everyday (weather permitting) leaving at 7:30 am and returning between 2:30 and 3pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic highlandsseabass porgy&blackfish November 8

Made our 3/4 day fishing trip leaving at 7:30 am from the Atlantic highlands marina today. There was some wind to start out the morning but as the day went on it really got nice. The fishing was not great as we had to make quite a few drops again today. Each time we would stop we would get a shot at some nice size seabass and some shorts. There were no porgies caught but we had a few blackfish. The highlight of the day was some codfish. We caught some on a few drops and by the end of the day we caught 6 shorts and 16 keeper cod. This does not always happen but it was nice to add them to the catch. There are some new pictures from today in the gallery so take a look. If you want to go fishing tomorrow is the day because the forecast for Tuesday is for strong easterly winds. Hopefully the ocean will settle down for the rest of the week. We are sailing everyday (weather permitting) leaving at 7:30 am and returning between 2:30 and 3pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic highlands seabass porgy &blackfish November 6

Made our 3/4 day fishing trip leaving at 7:30 am from the Atlantic highlands marina today. The fishing and the weather was not as good as yesterday. We could not drift today but we were able to catch some fish on the anchor. WE made a few stops and had some fish on most of them. We had a mix of seabass porgies and a few more blackfish then yesterday. There is supposed to be less wind tomorrow so we see what happens. I put a new picture up from today so take a look. Even though you are only allowed one blackfish we have green crabs on board if you want to catch them. The seabass are a mix of shorts and some nice size ones. We are sailing everyday leaving at 7:30 am and returning between 2:30 and 3pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
