Atlantic Highlands stripe bass fishing May 21

It was a nice day and we both morning and afternoon trips again today for stripe bass. The first stop on the morning trip was no good. We made a short move and it did not look like was going to be any better. We were getting ready to make a move when we got the first fish on. We stayed on that spot and had a slow pick. Only one fish was short all the rest were keepers. On the afternoon trip we went back to the same spot but it was no good. We tried another spot and that again was no good. We thought it was going to be a no catch afternoon. We tried one more spot and managed to catch a few keepers but no shorts. Take a look at the gallery and see some of the stripe bass from today. All of the fish were caught on bait (clams). Hopefully we catch a few more tomorrow. We are half day fishing for stripe bass everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone. P.S Fluke fishing starts Friday May 25.

The rain kept most of the people away again today but a few showed up so we made our morning trip. The rain was mostly a drizzle and everyone kept fishing. We went back to the same area were we have been catching. The first was no good. We made a short move to anther spot and after a little wait we started to catch. We stayed on that spot and had a pick of shorts and keepers. You can take a look at the gallery and see some of the keeper stripe bass from today. We also had another big black drum. The weather cleared up in the afternoon but not enough people showed up. As of now the weather for tomorrow does not look good. They are calling for northeast winds 20 to 25 with gusts to 30 knots with rain. I will be there in the morning to see if the weatherman is right. Check the weather buoy on my home  page and see what the wind is doing. If its blowing stay home. Even in the bay that much wind is not nice. Looking forward to seeing everyone if it's nice.
