Fishing Reports

Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing August 2

Made both morning and afternoon trips again today. We went to the area where we caught the fluke yesterday afternoon. We did not have much of a drift but we were able to pick at the shorts and catch some keepers. On the afternoon trip we tried the same area. The drifting conditions were terrible but we were able to pick some shorts and a few keepers. There are some new pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. We are half day fishing for fluke everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Made both morning and afternoon trips again today. The morning trip we tried different spots but fishing was not good. On the afternoon trip we tried an area that was not good yesterday morning but this afternoon is was better. We had better short action and we ended the trip with more keeper fluke then we have been catching. There are some new pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. Every trip is different so all we can do is keep on trying. We are half day fishing for fluke everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Come make a trip and have some fun and maybe get your picture in the gallery. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

We did not fish yesterday due to the rain and strong winds in the morning and the strong winds in the afternoon. We did make both morning and afternoon trips today. We fished in Raritan and Sandy Hook Bays. On both trips we picked at the shorts and caught some keepers. The big fish of the day was caught by Jose Revera with a nice 7 lber caught on the morning trip. You can see his picture with others from today in the gallery. We are half day fishing for fluke everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). The weather is going to be nice so come make a trip and have some fun. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Made both morning and afternoon trips again today and the fishing was pretty much the same. On both trips we picked at the shorts and ended up each trip with some keepers. You can see some pictures from today in the gallery. As of now the weather does not look good for tomorrow. They are calling for some strong winds and rain. Sometimes the weather reports can be wrong so we will be on the dock in the morning to see what its like. The best thing to do is look at the weather buoy on my website ( lower left hand corner on home page). If it's blowing stay home and wait till a better day(maybe Sunday). Looking forward to seeing everyone when the weather gets better.

We have been making both morning and afternoon trips the past few days. Yesterday we had an improvement in the short action on both trips with some keepers. Today we had the same short action with more keepers then yesterday. Hopefully the fishing will continue to improve. Sandy Hook and Raritan Bays have been producing the fluke. There are some new pictures from the past two day in the gallery so take a look. We are half day fishing for fluke everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). The weather for tomorrow looks good but we are not sure about Saturday. As of now they are calling for strong northeast wind with heavy rain for Saturday. If the forecast is correct we will not be fishing. We will have to see what develops. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
