Atlantic Highlands stripe bass fishing April 30

I guess the wind kept most of the people away this morning so we did not make our morning trip. It was still windy in the afternoon but a few people showed and we went fishing. By the time we arrived at the fishing grounds the wind diminished. We only had to make one stop and we had good action picking at stripe bass all afternoon. Most were shorts but we were able to send everyone home with a keeper for dinner. There are some new pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. We are still fishing in Raritan Bay using clams for bait. The weather for the next few looks like it will finally be warm so come join us for some fun catching stripe bass. We are half day fishing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Made both morning and afternoon trips for stripe bass again today. On the morning trip we started out were we have been catching the past few trips. Today it was not good. We made a short move to another spot were after a short wait we started picking. We picked the rest of the trip at a mix of shorts and keepers. On the afternoon trip we started were we did not catch in the morning. The afternoon was a different story. We only had to make the one stop. We picked away again at a mix of shorts and keepers and ended up with more keepers then the morning but both trips were ok. The big fish of the day was a 23 lber caught by Bob. Take a look at the gallery and see some of the keepers from today. We are fishing for stripe bass fishing in Raritan Bay using clams for bait. Only a few people showed up on a nice day but we made both morning and afternoon trips today. On the morning trip ( 8am) the conditions were perfect. We only had to make one drop and we picked all morning. It was the best action for us this season. The short action was steady and everyone went home with a keeper stripe bass. On the afternoon trip (1:30) the conditions were not as good but we still only had to make one drop. The short action was not quite as good as the morning but there was still good action. Most people went home with a keeper but everyone caught shorts. We are still fishing in Raritan Bay using clams for bait. There some new pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. We are half day fishing for stripe bass making two trips everyday (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Hopefully this good fishing will continue. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
