Atlantic Highlands bottom fishing October 23

Made our 3/4 day bottom fishing trip for seabass porgies and blackfish today. It was a nice day with good fishing. There were plenty of nice size porgies caught and a lot of short seabass with some keepers. We also had a few triggerfish. Take a look at the gallery and see some new pictures from today. We will not be fishing tomorrow due to the strong winds and rain. We are not sure about Wednesday. We will have to see what the weather is. We are 3/4 day bottom fishing for seabass porgies and blackfish everyday leaving at 7:30 and returning between 2:30 and 3pm (weather permitting) Looking forward to seeing everyone on a nice day.

We finished our half day fishing season making both morning and afternoon trips today. We fished in the strong current again and caught nice size porgies but did not see as many keeper seabass as we would have liked. There are some new pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. Tomorrow we start our 3/4 day schedule making ONE TRIP EVERDAY leaving at 7:30 and returning between 2:30 and 3pm ( weather permitting). We will still be bottom fishing for seabass porgies and bkackfish. The new schedule will allow us more time to fish different areas and get away from the strong current. As of now the weather for tomorrow looks good but Tuesday does not. Its a little longer trip so pack a lunch and come have some fun. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands porgy fishing October 21

Made both morning and afternoon trips today and it was another good day. The weather was nice and everyone went home with fish for dinner. We had some excitement on the afternoon when we boated a blackdrum about 30 lbs  (see picture in gallery). Tomorrow we will be able to keep the sea bass with the porgies. Also tomorrow will be the last day of half day fishing for this year. Starting Monday October 22 will be 3/4 day fishing everyday for seabass, porgies and blackfish. We will leave at 7:30 am and return between 2:30 and 3pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands porgy fishing October 19

We have been making both morning and afternoon trips the past few days and enjoying nice weather and good porgy fishing. The porgies are mixed sizes with some real nice size ones being caught. The strong tidal current has made us use heavy sinkers (10-12 ozs) but we still catch. There are some new pictures in the gallery so take a look. We are still making two half day trips everyday (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). The forecast is looking good so came make a trip and enjoy the weather and the good porgy fishing. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Not many people showed up today but we were able to make both morning and afternoon trips. Because of the forecast we were not sure how the weather was going to be. It was a bit chilly in the morning but it turned out to be a nice day with good porgy fishing. Everyone went home with dinner plus. Take a look at the gallery and see some new pictures from the past two days. We are still making two half day fishing trips for porgies (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). The weather for the next few days looks nice so come make a trip and have some fun catching porgies. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
