Fishing Reports

Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing July 6

The rain forecast kept most of the people away today but made both morning and afternoon trips. We had some drizzle  on and off in the morning but no heavy rain. the afternoon trip started out with a little drizzle but that stopped soon after we left the dock. The rest of the trip was real nice. We had nice drifting conditions on both trips in Sandy Hook Bay. On both trips we had good action with shorts with some keepers. Take a look at the gallery and see some of the keepers from today. We are half day fishing for fluke everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Come make a trip and have some fun catching fluke. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Made both morning and afternoon trips again today. On the morning trip we did not have very good drifting conditions. We picked some shorts everywhere we went and ended up the morning with some keepers. On the afternoon trip the fishing was much better. We had a nice cool breeze that gave us good drifting conditions. We caught plenty of shorts and had more keepers then the morning trip. Take a look at the gallery and see some of the keepers from today. We are half day fishing for fluke everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). There is a chance of showers tomorrow but we will be fishing. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing July 4

I hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July. We made both morning and afternoon trips again today.  On the morning trip we picked at the shorts but caught some keepers each drift. We had a little breeze and it was warm but not real hot. On the afternoon trip the breeze picked up and it was cooler. We had better short action but a few less keepers. We fished in Sandy Hook Bay on both trips. Take a look at the gallery and see some of the keepers from today. We are half day fishing for fluke everyday making two trips(8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Made both morning and afternoon trips again today. Today we had a breeze so it was not as hot as yesterday morning trip. Again we picked at shorts and had some keepers. We had that breeze on the afternoon trip also and it was not hot. The fishing was not as good as the morning but we still caught. Most days it is cooler on the water then on land especially when there is some wind. Take a look at the gallery and see some of the keepers from today. You will see some youngsters with some nice keepers. We are half day fishing for fluke everyday (including tomorrow) making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone. If we don't see you tomorrow have a safe 4th of July.

Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing July 2

Made both morning and afternoon trips again today. On the morning trip we tried different places and there was not much drift anywhere. There was not much current and not much wind. With no wind this morning was probably the warmest trip of the past few days. We caught some shorts everywhere but not many keepers. Just before we had to go home we started to drift and we picked shorts with some keepers. On the afternoon trip we had a cool breeze that gave a nice drift. We had plenty of action all afternoon with shorts and some keepers mixed in. Today the afternoon trip was better but we never know which trip will be better. We are still fishing in Sandy Hook and Raritan Bays. Take a look at the gallery and see some of the keepers from today. We are half day fishing for fluke everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). On July 4th will be fishing our same schedule ( 2 half day trips).  Looking forward to seeing everyone.
