Atlantic Highlands porgy fishing September 29

Made both morning and afternoon trips from the Atlantic Highlands marina today. On the morning trip (8am to 12:30) we had slow pick of short and keeper size porgies. By the end of the trip everyone went home with dinner. On the afternoon trip (1;30 to 6pm) the action was much better. It was still a mix of sizes but there was a lot more keepers then the morning. Not only did everyone have dinner but some for the freezer also. If you want your porgies filleted the crew does a great job of removing the bones. There are some new pictures in the gallery so take a look. The weather for the next few days does not look good. We will be not be sailing for a while due to the forecast of strong east and northeast winds. As of now it might be as long as Sunday but that depends on the weather. You can click on the  NOAA weather link on our home page to see the updated weather. We are looking forward to the weather getting better so we can resume our schedule of two trips everyday (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone then.
