Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing September 23

After two days of not sailing due to easterly winds we were able to make both morning and afternoon trips from the Atlantic Highlands marina today. On the morning trip it started out with a bit of a roll but as the morning went on it got real nice. We picked at some shorts and only ended up with a couple of keepers. On the afternoon trip the weather was great. The roll laid down and the drifting conditions were good. It was not great fishing but we picked at the shorts on every drift and ended up the afternoon with a few keepers. Steve from Maryland was high hook with four keepers. There are some pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. Tomorrow the weather looks ok  but as of now we are not sure after that. All I can say is keep an eye on the weather. You can check the NOAA link on the bottom of my home page. Saturday is the last day for fluke and I hope we make the end. Sunday (weather permitting) we will start bottom fishing for porgies on the same schedule (two trips everyday 8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). Looking forward to seeing everyone.
