Atlantic Highlands fluke fishing August 3 & 4

The past two days we made both morning and afternoon trips from the Atlantic Highlands marina. Yesterday on the morning trip we had good action and ended up the morning with more keepers then previous days. On the afternoon trip the wind picked up and the fishing was not as good. The drift was fast but we still picked fish but not many keepers. Today the weatherman scared a lot of people but it was a nice day. The fishing on the morning trip the conditions were good and we ended up with a better catch of keeper fluke then yesterday.Unfortunately the wind picked up in the afternoon again and the drift was very fast. We did pick fish but mostly shorts with only a few keepers. Even with the wind it was not rough but you needed heavy sinkers. We are still catching the fluke in Sandy Hook and Raritan bays. Sometimes the drift can be fast so if you want bring a light and heavy rod. We never know how the conditions are going to be in the morning or afternoon so just pick a trip that fits your schedule. There are some new pictures in the gallery so take a look . We are sailing everyday making two trips (8am to 12:30 and 1:30 to 6pm). The youngsters go back to school soon so lets take them fishing. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
