Atlantic Highlands blackfishing November 20

Not many people showed up but we still made our 3/4 day trip for blackfish today. It was windy and a bit cold but it was not rough. We fished three drops and caught blackfish on all of them. We had no limits but everyone caught from one to four keepers. We also had plenty of action with the shorts. There are some new pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. We are 3/4 day fishing everyday for blackfish leaving at 7:30 and returning between 2:30 and 3pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone. WE WILL BE FISHING ON THURSDAY (THANKSGIVING) SPECIAL TIME LEAVING AT 7:30 AND RETURNING A BIT EARLIER AT 1:30.

Atlantic Highlands blackfishing November 18

We made our 3/4 day trip for blackfish today. The weatherman was right. It was nice in the morning and the wind picked up around noon time. The blackfish did not bite as good as Thursday. Some people started to catch porgies and some seabass. There are a couple of pictures in the gallery. The weather for tomorrow is for gale force winds (gusts to 45) so we will not be fishing. Hopefully we will be able to fish on Monday. Weather permitting we will be fishing for blackfish everyday leaving at 7:30 and returning between 2:30 and 3pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone when the weather improves.

Atlantic Highlands blackfishing November 16

Made our 3/4 day trip for blackfish today. We fished 5 different  spots and caught blackfish on all of them. Everyone caught blackfish but not everyone caught keepers. We also had a few keepers seabass (all caught on crabs). There are some new pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. We are now 3/4 day fishing for blackfish everyday leaving at 7:30 and returning between 2:30 and 3pm (weather permitting). As of now the forecast for tomorrow is for strong winds and if they are right we will not be fishing. I will have to see what it is like in the morning. Check the weather buoy on the Atlantic Star home page. Looking forward to seeing everyone (weather permitting).

Atlantic Highlands bottom fishing November 15

Made our 3/4 day bottom fishing trip today. The people who fished for the porgies all went home with fish for dinner. We caught a lot of short seabass but only kept a few. We also had some nice size blackfish. Take a look at the gallery and see some of the fish caught today. Tomorrow the blackfish limit goes up to six fish at 15 inches. We will be fishing for blackfish but if you want to try for seabass or porgies you can but blackfish will be our main target fish. We supply green crabs for bait. The weather for tomorrow is for a chance of showers in the morning but we will be fishing. As of now the forecast for Friday does not look good (strong winds) but we will have to see. We will be fishing for blackfish everyday (weather permitting) leaving at 7:30 and returning between 2:30 and 3pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands bottom fishing November 13

Again not many people showed to go bottom fishing today but we made our 3/4 day trip today. The weather was not really nice with drizzle rain and some north east wind but the fishing was still good. The porgies are still biting. We had some keeper seabass (still plenty of shorts) and there were enough blackfish for just about everyone to go home with one. We have crabs on board if you want to try for blackfish (1 fish limit ). We suggest you catch some porgies for dinner first. There are a few pictures in the gallery from today so take a look. We are 3/4 day bottom fishing for seabass porgies and blackfish everyday leaving at 7:30 and returning between 2:30 and 3 pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone.
