Fishing Reports

THANK YOU

THE ATLANTIC STAR HAS COMPLETED ITS 2018 SEASON. I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL OF THOSE WHO FISHED WITH US THIS YEAR. I WISH ALL OF YOU A SAFE AND HAPPY NEW YEAR AND LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING EVERYONE IN 2019. WE USUALLY START FISHING AROUND THE MIDDLE OF APRIL.

Atlantic Highlands blackfishing January 4

Made our 3/4 day trip for blackfish again today. The fishing today was the same as the past few days. Caught fish on every drop with everyone catching shorts and some catching keepers. There are some new pictures in the gallery from today. The weather for tomorrow is for easterly winds and rain so we will not be fishing. We had planned on fishing Sunday but we have to watch the forecast. As of now they are calling for westerly winds with gusts to 30. If that happens we will not be fishing. All we can do is see what the weather is like on Sunday. Looking forward to seeing everyone if its nice.

Atlantic Highlands blackfishing January 3

Again not many people showed up but we made our 3/4 day trip for blackfish today. Made three drops today and caught fish on all of them. Like the past few trips everyone caught fish but not everyone caught keepers. Take a look at the gallery and see some new pictures from today. The weather for tomorrow looks good so we will be fishing leaving at 7:30 am and returning between 2:30 and 3pm. As of now Saturday does not look good with easterly wind and rain (we will have to see). The forecast for Sunday looks ok for our last trip. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands blackfishing January 2

Happy New Year. Not many people showed up today but we made our 3/4 day trip for blackfish. It was a real nice day on the ocean. Made two drops and we had good action on both of them. Again most of the fish were shorts but everyone caught and some had from one to three keepers. There are some new pictures in the gallery from today. We will be fishing everyday this week (weather permitting) leaving at 7:30 am and returning between 2:30 and 3pm. Our last day fishing will be Sunday January 6. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

Atlantic Highlands blackfishing December 31

Not many people showed up today but we made our 3/4 day blackfish trip. Only made one drop and picked at a mix of shorts and keepers. High hook had four keepers and some had one or two while others only caught shorts but again everyone caught. Take a look at the gallery and see some new pictures from today. We had planned on fishing tomorrow but as of now it does not look like we will. The forecast is for gale winds (gusts to 35). Wednesday looks like the next day fishing leaving at 7:30 and returning between 2:30 and 3pm. We will blackfish everyday with Sunday January 6  being our last trip. Looking forward to seeing everyone. Have a safe New Years Eve and Day.
